Thermocouple Type T Wire

At Aerospace Wire & Cable we offer Type T in both thermocouple wire grade, and extension grade in both solid and stranded constructions. Temperature ratings for insulating materials range from 60C to 260C. Cables with SLE conductors are also available upon request.

Customization capabilities regarding color codes, cabling, shields, AWG sizes are available upon request.

Thermocouple Type T is made up of copper and constantan, and its temperature range is (-270C - 400C*). It is typically used for differential measurement, because only copper wire touches the probes. Type T does not display any changes in characteristics due to the fact that there is not a Curie Point, because both conductors are non-magnetic.

Thermocouple Type T Applications

Type T thermocouples are commonly used in the food industry. This is largely due to the very high level of accuracy that it provides, in addition to it performing well in the presence of moisture without oxidizing. Type T is a popular choice in situations where a lower range temperature measurement is necessary, and cryogenic applications.
